Arrhythmias are a major cause of mortality following acute myocardial infarction. Defibrillation and pacing are two powerful tools to save lives in this setting and every practicing clinician should be well versed in the nuances of these therapies.
This module attempts to elaborate all the aspects of pacing , defibrillation,and cardioversion in the setting of AMI. A separate module exists on arrhythmias in AMI and hence the same is not el;aborated here.
